08:10 AM EDT, 09/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- NRG Energy ( NRG ) has entered into a strategic agreement with LandBridge Company ( LB ) for a potential data center in Reeves County, Texas, according to a statement Tuesday.

LandBridge ( LB ) said the site can potentially house a 1,100-MW natural gas power generation facility, which NRG will construct if it is able to secure an appropriate power purchase agreement for the data center.

The company further said it has submitted initial air permit applications and electric interconnection requests to allow for an in-service date as early as year-end 2029 if the project goes ahead.
