Aug 7 (Reuters) - The National Transportation Safety
Board plans to conduct a safety culture survey of employees at
Boeing's ( BA ) 737 MAX factory in Renton, Washington, the
board's chair said on Wednesday.
NTSB Chair Jennifer Homendy disclosed the plan at a hearing
after criticizing the planemaker's prior safety efforts before a
January 737 MAX mid-air emergency and Boeing's ( BA ) failure to
prevent unauthorized or undocumented work at the 737 factory.
Boeing ( BA ) executive Paul Wright said at the hearing that the
planemaker would commit to work with the NTSB to carry out the
board's survey without interference.
