11:48 AM EDT, 04/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Nuburu ( BURU ) said Thursday that certain strategic investors have made a $3 million investment in the company's common stock.

The company said that in connection with the investment, it plans to have a special shareholder meeting to authorize the issuance of common stock for acquiring stakes in various entities.

The company added that it has been awarded an initial purchase order to supply BL-300s to a battery system manufacturer in Asia.

Shares of Nuburu ( BURU ) rose more than 10% in recent trading activity.
