05:02 PM EDT, 10/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Nucor ( NUE ) reported Q3 earnings late Monday of $2.63 per diluted share, up from $1.05 a year earlier.

Three analysts polled by FactSet expected $2.13.

Net sales for the quarter ended Oct. 4 were $8.52 billion, up from $7.44 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $8.18 billion.

The company said it expects Q4 earnings to be lower than Q3 due to lower volumes and average selling prices in the steel mills segment, reduced volumes in the steel products segment, and lower realized pricing and planned outages affecting the raw materials segment. Three analysts surveyed by FactSet expect Q4 EPS of $2.08.

Shares of the company were up 2.9% in after-hours activity.
