Nutrien Expects to Resume Production at Rocanville Mine Wednesday After Fatal Accident

03:10 PM EDT, 05/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Nutrien ( NTR ) said it expects production at its Rocanville mine in Saskatchewan, Canada, to restart Wednesday after the potash mine was temporarily shut down following the death of a worker on Sunday.

"Following the tragic fatality of one of our colleagues at our Rocanville mine on Sunday, May 19, authorities have conducted investigations at the site," a spokesperson told MT Newswires in an email. "Nutrien ( NTR ) is carrying out its own investigations."

"We continue to provide support to all those affected by this tragic event and production at Rocanville is expected to recommence on Wednesday May 22," the spokesperson said.
