Nuvei Shareholders Approve Advent International's US$6.3-Billion Going-Private Transaction

12:40 PM EDT, 06/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Nuvei ( NVEI ) shareholders on Tuesday voted to approve Advent International's US$6.3-billion offer to take the payment-technologies company private.

The company said 99.24% of its subordinate shares were voted in favor of the offer.

Advent, along with the Caisse de Depot et Placement du Quebec and other shareholders in April offered US$34.00 per share for the company, which will be delisted following the close of the acquisition.

The company will seek court approval for the sale at a hearing scheduled for June 20, but other regulatory approvals are awaited, with a final closing expected later this year or early 2025.

Nuvei ( NVEI ) shares were last seen down $0.06 to $44.05 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
