NVIDIA, Foxconn Partner on AI Supercomputer Project in Taiwan

04:28 AM EDT, 05/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- NVIDIA ( NVDA ) said Sunday it is collaborating with Foxconn and Taiwan's government to build an AI supercomputing facility equipped with 10,000 Blackwell GPUs.

Foxconn will deliver the infrastructure through its Big Innovation Company unit, joining NVIDIA's ( NVDA ) Cloud Partner network, the company said.

The supercomputer will support the Taiwan National Science and Technology Council's AI ecosystem, enabling startups, researchers, and industries to accelerate AI deployment, Nvidia ( NVDA ) said.

TSMC (TSM) plans to use the system to boost its R&D capacity, the company said.

Shares of Nvidia ( NVDA ) were down more than 3%, while TSMC's shares dropped over 2.5% in recent Monday premarket activity.
