01:15 PM EST, 12/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Nvidia ( NVDA ) said Thursday it is opening its first research and development center in Vietnam, confirming earlier media reports.

The facility will focus on software development to accelerate artificial intelligence adoption in the country, particularly in major industries such as healthcare, education, transportation and finance, the company said. Financial details were not provided.

Nvidia ( NVDA ) shares rose 0.4% in recent trading.
