03:14 PM EDT, 07/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Nvidia ( NVDA ) partner Sustainable Metal Cloud is seeking close to $1 billion in funding to expand its data centers, according to media reports Thursday.
The Singapore-based artificial intelligence cloud provider is looking to raise $400 million through the sale of equity and another $550 million through debt -- though the details are subject to change, Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
Sustainable Metal Cloud is planning to expand in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and North America, Reuters reported, citing Chief Executive Tim Rosenfield.
The company currently operates over 1,200 of Nvidia's ( NVDA ) H100 AI chips in Singapore and plans to increase their number to 5,000 by the end of the year, Bloomberg reported.
The company declined comment to Bloomberg and Reuters.
