02:11 PM EDT, 10/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Nvidia ( NVDA ) said Tuesday it is collaborating with other companies and the US Department of Energy's national labs to develop seven artificial intelligence supercomputers.
The company said it is working with Oracle (ORCL) to build the supercomputers "Solstice" and "Equinox" at the DOE's Argonne National Laboratory that will feature 100,000 and 10,000 Nvidia Blackwell graphics processing units, respectively.
Nvidia ( NVDA ) said Argonne also announced the supercomputers "Tara," "Minerva" and "Janus" that aim to provide researchers with expanded access to AI-driven computing.
The DOE's Los Alamos National Laboratory announced that the Nvidia Vera Rubin platform and the Nvidia Quantum-X800 InfiniBand networking fabric will be used for the supercomputers "Mission" and "Vision" that Hewlett Packard Enterprise ( HPE ) will build and deliver, Nvidia ( NVDA ) said.
