08:21 AM EST, 11/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Nvidia ( NVDA ) Chief Executive Jensen Huang said Tuesday that SoftBank will be the first to receive Nvidia's ( NVDA ) latest Blackwell platform for its supercomputer to drive artificial intelligence initiatives, including large language models for Japan.

Nvidia ( NVDA ) also said it partnered with SoftBank's Japanese telecom subsidiary to pilot an AI radio access network, or AI-RAN, which can run AI and 5G workloads at the same time.

SoftBank also plans to use Nvidia's ( NVDA ) Grace Blackwell chips to build another supercomputer as well as create an AI marketplace to meet local AI computing demand, Nvidia ( NVDA ) added.
