Nvidia Supplier Launches Next-Generation DRAM Chip

06:05 AM EDT, 08/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Nvidia ( NVDA ) supplier SK Hynix said Thursday it had developed the industry's first sixth-generation 10-nanometer dynamic random access memory chip.

The new chip, called 1c DDR5, has improved power efficiency by 9% from the previous generation, SK Hynix said.

Volume shipment is slated to start in 2025.
