05:37 AM EDT, 09/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Nvidia ( NVDA ) supplier SK Hynix said Wednesday it has begun mass production of 12-layer stacked high-bandwidth memory microchips with 36 gigabytes, which it described as the largest capacity to date.

The company said it plans to supply the chips to products to customers within the year.

The company said the product addresses needs in the AI memory market.
