04:01 PM EDT, 09/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Nvidia ( NVDA ) said Thursday it will invest 2 billion pounds ($2.71 billion) in the United Kingdom's artificial intelligence startup ecosystem to support infrastructure and company growth.

The company plans to use the capital to develop AI technologies, generate new businesses and jobs in the UK.

The investment, made in collaboration with venture capital firms including Accel, Air Street Capital, Balderton, Hoxton Ventures and Phoenix Court, will expand access to capital and AI resources in hubs such as London, Oxford, Cambridge and Manchester, the company said.

Nvidia ( NVDA ) added that scaling AI companies in the UK has faced hurdles, including limited supercomputing access, concentrated venture capital funding in London, and rising costs.

Shares of Nvidia ( NVDA ) were up 3.8% in recent trading.
