08:40 AM EDT, 06/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Nvidia ( NVDA ) chief executive Jensen Huang said Sunday that the company's next-generation artificial intelligence chip platform Rubin will be introduced in 2026, multiple news outlets reported.

Huang told an audience at the Computex trade show that the Rubin line will include new Versa graphics processing and central processing units as well as networking chips, Reuters reported.

Huang said the company now plans to release a new AI chip platform annually, faster than its previous schedule of every two years, CNBC reported.

Nvidia ( NVDA ) did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.

Shares of the chip company were up more than 3% in recent Monday premarket activity.
