07:58 AM EDT, 08/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Nvidia's ( NVDA ) NVentures, Galaxy Digital's ( GLXY ) Galaxy Interactive, and Morgan Stanley's ( MS ) Counterpoint Global are among the new investors that participated in Commonwealth Fusion Systems' $863 million series B2 fundraising round, Commonwealth Fusion said Thursday.

A group of 12 Japanese companies led by Mitsui & Co. and Mitsubishi also participated in the round, joining Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google ( GOOG ) and other existing investors that increased their respective stakes in Commonwealth Fusion, the company said.

Commonwealth Fusion will use the proceeds to complete its SPARC fusion demonstration machine and progress on development work on its first ARC power plant in Virginia, it said.
