04:49 AM EDT, 03/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Nvidia ( NVDA ) said late Monday its latest computing platforms will support a new wave of AI-driven space innovation, including orbital data centers, geospatial analysis, and autonomous space operations.
The company introduced the Nvidia Space-1 Vera Rubin Module, which delivers up to 25 times more computing power than the H100 GPU for space-based tasks, along with platforms such as Nvidia IGX Thor and Nvidia Jetson Orin, designed for efficient computing in space environments.
On the ground, Nvidia's ( NVDA ) data center technologies, including the Nvidia RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPU, offer faster processing for geospatial data analysis compared with traditional CPU-based systems, the company said.
It added that companies including Axiom Space, Kepler Communications, and Planet Labs (PL) are already using its platforms for space missions.
