05:56 AM EST, 11/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Nvidia ( NVDA )-backed (NVDA) Firmus said Friday it has received commitments for an additional 500 million Australian dollars ($326.1 million) equity raise to expand Project Southgate.

Project Southgate is an artificial intelligence infrastructure program targeting up to 1.6 GW of capacity across mainland Australia through 2028.

Proceeds will be used for site development, infrastructure deployment, and energy partnerships across Tasmania, Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Perth, the company said.

The fundraising is the second in two months and backed by Nvidia ( NVDA ) and Ellerston Capital, Reuters reported.
