04:41 AM EDT, 05/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- NWTN ( NWTN ) said Friday it has named Benjamin Zhai as global chief executive.

Zhai previously served as CEO of Canoo (Go EV) China, and Shenzhen Talent Group.

Under Zhai, NWTN ( NWTN ) will set up a smart industrial park in Abu Dhabi, among other initiatives, as the company aims to transform from a new energy vehicle maker to a "smart technology platform," it said.

NWTN ( NWTN ) shares were down 8.7% in recent premarket activity.
