NYCB's Flagstar unit to cut around 700 jobs

(Reuters) - U.S. regional lender Flagstar Bank, a unit of New York Community Bancorp ( NYCB/PA ), said on Thursday it will lay off around 700 employees, or 8% of its workforce, amid efforts to turn around its struggling business.
