08:21 AM EDT, 08/01/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Occidental Petroleum ( OXY ) said in a regulatory filing on Thursday that Ecopetrol ( EC ) has decided not to acquire a stake in its CrownRock assets.

Ecopetrol ( EC ) had been in talks to buy a 30% interest in CrownRock, according to the filing.

Ecopetrol ( EC ) shares were up 0.8% in premarket trading, while Occidental was up 0.1%.
