10:47 AM EDT, 06/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- OceanaGold ( OCANF ) said Friday that it suspended operations at the Didipio mine in the Philippines for 24 hours following the death of an employee.

The miner said the employee was found unresponsive on the ground near the paste plant and was unable to be revived at the onsite medical clinic.

An investigation is underway, OceanaGold ( OCANF ) said.

The company's share price was down more than 3% at last look to $3.24.
