11:22 AM EDT, 09/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- OceanPal ( OP ) said Monday it has taken delivery of the motor tanker Zeze Start, which was built in 2009 and has a capacity of 49,999 deadweight tonnage.

The acquisition, finalized in late July 2024, marks OceanPal's ( OP ) entry into the tanker sector as part of its strategy to diversify its fleet, the company said.

The company added that after selling the motor vessel Baltimore, its fleet will include four dry bulk vessels and one Medium Range 2 tanker.

Shares of OceanPal ( OP ) rose more than 8% in recent trading activity.
