ODP's Q3 Adjusted Earnings, Sales Fall

07:22 AM EST, 11/06/2024 (MT Newswires) -- ODP (ODP) reported Q3 adjusted earnings from continuing operations Wednesday of $0.71 per diluted share, down from $2.17 a year earlier.

Three analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $1.60.

Sales for the quarter ended Sept. 30 were $1.78 billion, down from $2.01 billion a year earlier.

Three analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $1.82 billion.

The company said it now expects 2024 adjusted earnings of $3.10 to $3.80 per diluted share, down from its prior guidance of between $4.25 and $5. Three analysts polled by Capital IQ expect $4.27.

Sales for the year are expected to be about $7 billion, compared with the previous expectation of at least $7 billion. Three analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect $7.09 billion.
