08:36 AM EDT, 07/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- O-I Glass ( OI ) said on Tuesday it plans to transform its manufacturing plant in Alloa, UK, into a more advanced facility, aiming to significantly reduce CO2 emissions.

The company said it will invest around $150 million over the next two years to upgrade the site as it rebuilds one furnace with state-of-the-art technology.

Additionally, O-I has begun to build an all-new furnace featuring the same technological advancements.
