MOSCOW, Feb 17 (Reuters) - Oil flows via the Caspian
Pipeline Consortium (CPC) were reduced on Monday after a drone
struck the Kropotkinskaya pumping station in Russia's southern
Krasnodar region, the CPC said in a statement.
Work had been stopped at the pumping station while the
company worked to establish the degree of damage, it said.
Kazakhstan's energy ministry said there were no restrictions
in place on its side, and that oil loading continued as normal.
The CPC carries oil from Kazakhstan's Tengiz field for
export via the Russian port of Novorossiisk.
It carries virtually all of Kazakhstan's oil exports,
accounting for around 1% of daily oil supply.
Among the pipeline's major shareholders are Russian and
Kazakh state-owned oil and gas companies, alongside U.S. energy
majors Chevron ( CVX ) and ExxonMobil ( XOM ).
Ukraine has repeatedly targeted Russian energy
infrastructure with drone strikes in recent months, including in
the southern Krasnodar region.
