Olin Q2 Earnings, Sales Decline; Shares Fall After Hours

05:22 PM EDT, 07/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Olin (OLN) reported Q2 earnings late Thursday of $0.62 per diluted share, down from $1.13 a year earlier.

Three analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $0.69.

Sales for the quarter ended June 30 were $1.64 billion, compared with $1.70 billion a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $1.70 billion.

During Q2, Olin repurchased about 1.9 million shares of common stock at $106 million. On June 30, the company said it had approximately $800 million available under its share buyback authorization.

Shares of Olin fell nearly 9% in after-hours activity.
