OnePlus 7 Pro could be cheaper than expected at Rs 49,999, reveals leak

A leak in the social media regarding the expected prices of the soon to be launched OnePlus 7 Pro has indicated that the price of the much anticipated smartphone model will be cheaper than expected. According to the post in twitter buy tipster Ishan Agarwal the price of the model would begin at Rs 49,999.

In his tweet, Agarwal claimed that the company will sell the 6GB+128GB variant at Rs 49,999 while 8GB+256GB version will cost Rs 52,999. On the other hand the tipster also claimed that the 12GB+256GB variant will be priced at Rs 57,999.

The revelation comes as the Chinese premium smartphone maker OnePlus is all set to unveil the new "OnePlus 7 series" on May 14 at simultaneous events in New York, London, Beijing and Bengaluru.

The company is using the tagline "Go Beyond Speed" for the announcement, which goes in line with CEO Pete Lao saying there will be a 5G version of the OnePlus 7 Pro.

According to CEO Pete Lao the device will include a new type of display, with reports suggesting it could come with a 90 Hz refresh rate. The handsets are also expected to have a pop-up selfie camera.

A few leaks have claimed that three variants of the device, including OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 Pro 5G model, would be making their way to the markets this time.
