OnePlus has launched its brand new flagship phone, the OnePlus 6T. For starters, ‘T’ in the world of OnePlus stands for an upgrade. So this is an updated version of the OnePlus 6 that was launched earlier this year.
Unlike other hardware makers who keep their new smartphones under the wraps until the D-Day, OnePlus has been building up the excitement and teasing the smartphone’s features all through the run-up to the launch.
Design
At first glance, the device looks very similar to its predecessor, but for the T version, the insides are what matters. The most notable transformation lies in the 6.41-inch display of the device.
What's New
As opposed to the OnePlus 6, the 6T has a water drop shaped notch right on top which adds to the screen space. But the biggest upgrade is the in-screen fingerprint sensor. OnePlus 6T runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor and latest Oxygen OS.
Camera
The phone features a dual rear camera setup with a 16-megapixel primary sensor along with a 20-megapixel secondary sensor. While on the front, the smartphone packs in a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
Pros and Cons
OnePlus sports a sport a bigger 3,700 mAh battery when compared to the 3300 mAh battery on the outgoing model. To make room for a bigger battery OnePlus has gotten rid of the 3.5mm audio jack.
Price
The base variant of OnePlus 6T, that is the one that packs in 6GB of RAM along with 128GB of storage, is priced at $549 in the US. We will update the India pricing here, keep watching this space.
