Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $1.20.

Revenue in the quarter ended June 29 rose to $242.3 million from $190.7 million a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $235.5 million.

The company expects Q3 non-GAAP EPS of $1.25 to $1.35 on revenue of $245 million to $255 million. Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect EPS of $1.22 on revenue of $233.8 million.

Shares of Onto Innovation ( ONTO ) were up more than 9% in after-hours activity.
