11:49 AM EDT, 03/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Oportun Financial ( OPRT ) shares rose 5% in recent Thursday trading after the company said it received a notice from Findell Capital Management nominating Sandra Bell and Warren Wilcox for election to its board at the upcoming annual meeting.

The company said its board's nominating and governance committee will evaluate the nominees and issue a recommendation "in due course."

Oportun added that its board has undergone a "comprehensive" revamp over the past 14 months, with input from Findell, leading to the appointment of four new independent directors.
