04:22 AM EDT, 09/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Oportun Financial ( OPRT ) said late Wednesday it has agreed to sell its credit card portfolio to Continental Finance to streamline operations and improve profitability.

The company said the sale is now expected to close around Nov. 10, instead of the end of Q3 as previously indicated, and is expected to be accretive by about $2 million to adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization in 2024.
