Oracle, Amazon Web Services Launching Partnership

04:24 PM EDT, 09/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Oracle (ORCL) and Amazon.com's ( AMZN ) Amazon Web Services said Monday they are launching Oracle Database@AWS.

The new product will allow clients to access Oracle Autonomous Database on dedicated infrastructure and the Oracle Exadata Database Service inside AWS, offering a "unified experience" between Oracle's cloud infrastructure and AWS, the companies said.

Clients will also be able to connect data in Oracle Database to applications running on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud, AWS Analytics services or AWS's artificial intelligence services, the companies said.

Financial details weren't provided.

Oracle shares jumped 7.5% in recent after-hours trading. The company reported fiscal Q1 earnings and revenue that topped estimates by analysts.

Amazon ( AMZN ) shares climbed 0.3%.
