06:35 AM EDT, 03/31/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Oracle (ORCL) computer systems were accessed by hackers who stole patient data and attempted to extort US medical providers, Bloomberg reported Saturday, citing a person familiar with the matter and a notification sent to clients.

According to the report, hackers accessed Oracle's servers sometime after Jan. 22 and copied patient data to an outside location.

The FBI is reportedly investigating the breach and attempts to force medical companies to pay ransom.

Oracle did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
