08:21 AM EDT, 05/01/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Orezone Gold ( ORZCF ) on Thursday said the recent block trade of 40 million common shares at $1.15 per share by Resource Capital Fund (RCF) was placed into institutional funds based in Australia.

The company added that 14% of its share registry is now held by Australian based institutional funds, which is expected to increase after its proposed secondary listing on the Australian Securities Exchange is completed by the end of June.

RCF now holds 32.4 million Orezone common shares and a US$25 million convertible debenture maturing on Oct. 15, 2026.

Shares of the company closed up 0.9% at $1.11 on Wednesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
