09:18 AM EST, 02/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Ormat Technologies ( ORA ) said Tuesday it has entered into a long-term geothermal power purchase agreement with NV Energy, supporting data center operations of Alphabet's (GOOGL, GOOG) Google ( GOOG ) in Nevada with up to 150 megawatts of new capacity.
Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
The power purchase agreement is enabled through NV Energy's Clean Transition Tariff, and is subject to approval by the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada, the company said, adding that the approval is slated to come in H2.
The agreement allows the company to develop new geothermal projects across Nevada, and these projects will be added to the company's portfolio as they reach commercial operation, which are slated to come online from 2028 to 2030, Ormat ( ORA ) said.
Shares of Ormat ( ORA ) were up nearly 8% in recent Tuesday premarket activity.
