07:08 AM EDT, 09/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Orvana Minerals ( ORVMF ) Thursday said it is expanding its exploration strategy at the Taguas project in Argentina to include sulfide resources and test for deep copper-gold porphyry potential.
The company had previously focused on oxide mineralization.
Orvana plans to complete a geological modeling update by the end of fiscal 2025, conduct a geophysical survey in the first quarter of fiscal 2026, and begin deep drilling in the second quarter of fiscal 2026.
The geophysical survey aims to identify potential targets up to a depth of 1,500 meters and will cover the entire area of interest between Cerro Campamento and Cerros Taguas.
During first deep drilling, the company will drill areas showing potential indicators of a copper-gold porphyry system based on geophysical results and the updated geological model.
Orvana expects to evaluate the results during the third quarter of fiscal 2026.
