07:35 AM EST, 01/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Orvana Minerals ( ORVMF ) reported Thursday an increase in gold equivalent production from the Orovalle operation in Spain for the first quarter of its fiscal 2025.
The company produced 9,694 ounces of gold equivalent for the three months ended Dec. 31, rising from 9,550 ounces.
Orvana's output comprised 7,631 ounces of gold, 1.1 million pounds of copper and 33,306 ounces of silver.
Meanwhile, Orvana said its Bolivian subsidiary, Empresa Minera Paititi, has secured key permits for the plant expansion at the Don Mario project. The project is about 3.5% completed.
"We are pleased with progress through the first quarter of construction," CEO Juan Gavidia said. "The project is on track for commercial production by early 2026, which will be a transformative event for our company."
Orvana's share price rose 3.4% on Wednesday to $0.30 on the TSX.
