Orvana Minerals Says Unit Produces First Dore Bar From Don Mario Plant Restart
Mar 11, 2026 4:24 AM

07:10 AM EDT, 03/11/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Orvana Minerals ( ORVMF ) overnight Tuesday said its Bolivian unit, Empresa Minera Paititi S.A. (EMIPA), produced its first dore as part of the phased restart of the Don Mario Plant, located in southeastern Bolivia.

The company said that after the completion of performance verification of the comminution and thickening circuits, and upgrades to the Au-Ag desorption and smelting areas, EMIPA started operational trials by processing legacy sulfide ore through the Au-Ag circuit, resulting in the production of the first dore bar.

"Our focus now is on completing construction and commissioning of the Cu circuits required to process the oxide stockpiles and advancing the phased integration of all processing circuits to support oxide stockpile ramp-up and achievement of full operating capacity" said Orvana Chief Executive Juan Gavidia.

Processing of the oxide stockpiles is expected to ramp up progressively through Q3 of fiscal 2026, with the objective of achieving full operating capacity during Q4 of fiscal 2026.

Shares of the company closed up 6.9% to $2.01 on Tuesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
