The company added that it is conducting studies to ensure safe dewatering of the copper pit.
Osisko said it recently launched a sponsorship program for regional events to support the local community, and is preparing for a third public presentation for Murdochville residents and surrounding communities on Sept. 10.
"Since the beginning of the summer, significant work has been completed marking key advances in our efforts to eventually re-open the mine," said Robert Wares, president and CEO of Osisko Metals ( OMZNF ). "Publication of the preliminary economic assessment is still scheduled for early 2025."
Osisko's share rose 2.6% yesterday to $0.20 on the TSXV.
