Owens & Minor Mutually Agrees With Rotech Healthcare to Terminate Takeover Deal
Jun 5, 2025 7:38 AM

10:23 AM EDT, 06/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Owens & Minor ( OMI ) said Thursday it has mutually decided with Rotech Healthcare to terminate the previously announced takeover of the latter.

Under the terms, the company has paid $80 million to Rotech, and will also redeem $1 billion of notes issued in April, it added.

The company said that the path to get regulatory clearance for the merger proved unviable in terms of time, expense, and opportunity.

Owens & Minor ( OMI ) signed a deal in July 2024 to acquire Rotech Healthcare for $1.36 billion in cash.

Shares of the company were up 14% in recent Thursday trading.
