PacBio, Form Bio Team Up to Launch Initiatives to Unify AAV Gene Therapy Industry

10:21 AM EDT, 06/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- PacBio (PACB) and Form Bio, a provider of life sciences technology, said Thursday they are launching initiatives to advance and unify the adeno-associated viral, or AAV, gene therapy industry.

Financial details weren't provided.

The projects, which include an AAV data dictionary and open-source tools, are being led by a working group, jointly assembled by Form Bio and PacBio, the companies said.

The working group will develop and promote standardized nomenclature and reporting practices to achieve consistency in AAV research and development, the companies said.
