11:31 AM EDT, 04/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Pacific Biosciences of California ( PACB ) said Monday it plans to improve its HiFi sequencing by licensing advanced methylation detection methods developed by the Center for Novostics and Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

The company said it plans to bring the licensed technology to its Revio and Vega systems.

The new technology includes Holistic Kinetic Model 2, an enhanced AI deep learning framework, according to Pacific Biosciences.

The company's shares were up 1.8% in recent trading.
