May 8 (Reuters) - Mondi ( MNODF ) reported a sequential
growth in first-quarter core profit on Thursday, as a check on
costs and fewer maintenance shutdowns helped the British
packaging company offset lower prices, sending shares nearly
2.5% higher.
The company said its underlying earnings before interest,
taxes, depreciation, and amortisation for the three-month period
ended March 31 stood at 290 million euros ($327.21 million),
compared with 261 million euros in the fourth quarter of 2024.
