05:40 PM EDT, 05/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Palantir Technologies ( PLTR ) said late Thursday its Palantir USG unit received a contract from the US Department of Defense Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office to make licenses of its AI-enabled operating system with an initial order worth $153 million.

Additional awards can be made up to $480 million over a five-year period, the company said.

The AI office also awarded Palantir ( PLTR ) a prototype other transaction for $33 million to onboard third-party vendor and government capabilities into the government-owned, company-operated data environment to meet priority Combatant Command digital needs.
