04:47 PM EDT, 05/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Palo Alto Networks ( PANW ) late Tuesday reported stronger-than-expected fiscal third-quarter results buoyed by the cybersecurity firm's subscription and product revenue.
Adjusted per-share earnings rose to $0.80 for the three months through April 30 from $0.66 a year earlier, beating the consensus on FactSet of $0.77. Revenue gained 15% to $2.29 billion, above analysts' $2.28 billion estimate.
Subscription and support revenue advanced to $1.84 billion from $1.59 billion in the 2024 quarter, while product sales rose to $452.7 million from $391 million.
Palo Alto Networks ( PANW ) forecast fiscal 2025 adjusted EPS between $3.26 and $3.28, compared with $3.18 to $3.24 previously expected. The company pegged revenue at $9.17 billion to $9.19 billion, lifting the bottom end of the prior outlook that called for $9.14 billion. The consensus is for $3.23 in EPS and $9.17 billion of revenue.
For the ongoing quarter, the company anticipates reporting adjusted EPS of $0.87 to $0.89 a share on revenue of $2.49 billion to $2.51 billion. The Street is looking for $0.87 and $2.5 billion, respectively.
Palo Alto Networks' ( PANW ) stock was down 3.5% in after-hours trading.
