09:45 AM EDT, 10/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Paramount Skydance ( PSKY ) said Monday that it is acquiring online news site The Free Press, and named its co-founder and Chief Executive Bari Weiss as editor-in-chief of CBS News.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

The company said Free Press will maintain its own brand and operations.

Paramount Skydance ( PSKY ) said The Free Press' revenue has grown 82% during the last 12 months, and increased its subscribers by 86% to 1.5 million overall, with more than 170,000 paying subscribers.

Shares of Paramount Skydance ( PSKY ) were down 1.2% in recent early trading.
