09:02 AM EDT, 06/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Patagonia Gold ( HGLD ) said on Tuesday that the permitting process for the Calcatreu project in Argentina is now entering the final stages of approval.

The company said the next step in the approval process is a review of the environmental impact report.

Once a panel has issued its opinion, there will be a public hearing followed by the final resolution issued by the environmental authority.

After the final resolution is issued, Patagonia expects to conduct further studies to determine the project's reserves, which may lead to development of a heap leach operation to produce gold and silver dore at the project site.
