06:35 AM EDT, 03/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Patriot Battery Metals Inc. ( PMETF ) over the weekend said it has discovered a new spodumene pegmatite occurence at the Corvette property in Quebec.
Grab sample assays were 0.94% lithium oxide (Li2O) and 0.86% Li2O at the new spodumene pegmatite occurrence, termed CV14, situated along the geological trend of the CV9 and CV10 spodumene pegmatite clusters.
"The discovery highlights the extensive nature of the spodumene mineralized system along the CV Lithium Trend, which extends across the Property where a large portion remains unexplored for lithium pegmatite," said Darren Smith, vice president of exploration at Patriot.
An extensive spodumene pegmatite boulder field was discovered south of the CV5 spodumene pegmatite, indicating additional yet to be discovered spodumene pegmatites to the south and outside of the currently discovered pegmatite.
At the CV13 pegmatite, a total of 147 meters of channel sampling was completed, with results including 13.4 meters at 1.22% Li2O, 6.4 meters at 1.44% Li2O and 5.4 meters at 1.93 Li2O.
