PayPal Collaborates With OpenAI for Instant Checkout in ChatGPT

07:16 AM EDT, 10/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- PayPal ( PYPL ) said Tuesday it will adopt the Agentic Commerce Protocol to expand payments and commerce in OpenAI's ChatGPT.

As a result, ChatGPT users will be able to check out instantly using PayPal ( PYPL ), the company said.

PayPal ( PYPL ) said it will also connect its merchant network to OpenAI, allowing them to sell within ChatGPT, and support payments processing for merchants using OpenAI Instant Checkout.

Shares of PayPal ( PYPL ) were up more than 13% in recent premarket activity Tuesday.
